Yay, those are the kinds of videos that got me hooked on this channel in the first place, years ago.

Why would a musketeer use a rapier to fight someone with a katana instead of... idk... maybe a musket?

It could be that the Kurgan's Sword in teh movie was a modified design that was constructed as multiple blade segments, and was designed to only be stored in the suitcase once for smuggling, before then using some form of fictional alchemical "Steel Cement" applied between each one. The setting itself has a lot of magic and sword gadgetry going on, especially if you look at the expanded materials outside of the movies, such as the books and the show.

You can see her instincts telling her to dodge further away whenever you start moving the sword

I would want the Atlanta insured to be about 4 inches longer in the cutting blade. I saw one that was 7 inches longer, looked a little bit too long.

Do you know I have seen video after video after video popping up, some several years old, about the Conan swordsman. I don’t know why everybody’s on this cake lately.

Arnold has HUGE hands and is a Huge man in general. Just based off how much space he had for his hands and how much larger of a man he is than Skallagrim the sword in the store is tiny compared to the one in the movie..

I like to think that Conan's sword was what inspired Nintendo to make Link's MasterSword.

When it comes to the scene where the Kurgan puts his sword together it was like one of those scenes where an assassin opens a suitcase and pulls out the parts for a sniper's rifle. Granted it is helpful to be able to conceal such a weapon, but the notion the sword could be broken down into parts and still function is pure Hollywood.

I thought the weird bit above the guard on the first conan sword is for choking up much like a 'kweihander' if I get the spelling right.

Also keep in mind that the cimmerians are much larger than ordinary men and have far more muscle so what is heavy for us is likely not as heavy to them

The weapons from the,'Predator', franchise might be good for a review. The 'Alien vs. Predator', stands out to me.

How about scrutinizing the weapons and armor from Excalibur 1981.

Even when so-called experts in the arts purported to have used this style of weapon are demonstrating its possible use in direct combat, I can't help but think that this is often being done in a place and manner that's all-but devoid of necessary context. A well-lit and spacious gymnasium would be an example of such an out-of-context place. Whereas the type of person who may or may not have actually used such a tool as a weapon, would surely have had a lot more to work with than just the tool itself; terrain, darkness, fore-planning, the element of surprise, etc. I believe any-such user would have done anything and everything they could to avoid squaring-off against an opponent who's been trained to do deal with precisely that scenario, armed with weapons designed to excel in precisely that role; themselves being armed with only this bizarre tool. Especially when their real job had nothing to do with killing anyone themselves; sneaking, climbing, listening to important information, etc. I believe that this tool was arranged as it is to facilitate mostly-climbing; specifically the upper-class, and often fortified, architecture of the day. And if the user needed to deploy it as a weapon, out of desperation, it would _maybe_ be better than nothing (?).
